1. What these terms cover
These terms cover the free plan of the Insight app. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. Where these terms and the Terms and Conditions say different things about the free plan, these terms win.
The free plan is a permanent free plan for one design business. It is not a trial. There is no end date, no credit card is needed, and nothing switches off on a timer.

3. How live and archived projects work
A live project can be edited, exported and shared.
You can archive a live project at any time, and that frees its slot. An archived project stays viewable, exportable and shareable for good, but cannot be edited. To edit it again, you bring it back live, which means archiving another project if both slots are full. You can do this as often as you like, with no limit, waiting period or charge.
4. What we commit to
For as long as we operate the Insight app, a free account keeps:
- at least 2 editable projects at a time
- unlimited archived projects
- an unlimited product library
- the ability to view, export and share everything already created
None of these will be moved behind a payment for a free account that already exists.
5. What can change
We may stop opening new free accounts at any time. An account opened before then keeps everything in section 4 for good.
We can change the free plan for accounts created after a change date we publish. For accounts that already exist, a change can only add features or raise limits. The only exceptions are the fair use rules in section 6 and the closing rules in section 9.
6. Fair use
Unlimited means unlimited for normal, everyday design work. To keep the app fast and fair for everyone, we may slow down, limit or pause an account that shows unusual activity, such as:
- automated or scripted access, or bots
- scraping
- one account shared across many people or many design businesses
- use far beyond normal working levels
Reselling access is not allowed. Images are compressed when you upload them, and storage is for normal working use.
7. One design business
A free account is for one design business. It cannot be transferred or resold, and it must not be used to provide services to other design businesses.
8. Accounts you do not log in to
We do not delete a free account because you have not logged in.
9. When we may close a free account
We may close a free account only for one of these reasons:
- a serious or repeated breach of these terms or our Terms and Conditions
- fraud, abuse, or use of the app to break the law
- running several free accounts to get around the 2-project limit
- a security risk to the app or to other users
Before we close an account, we give 14 days' notice by email and a working link to export your work. The only exception is where we have to act straight away for security reasons or because the law requires it.
10. If Insight stops operating
If we ever stop running the Insight app, we will give at least 90 days' notice by email, and export will keep working for the whole notice period. Free for life means for the life of the product.
11. If the business is sold
If the business that runs Insight is sold, these free plan terms transfer to the new owner and bind them.
12. Upgrading
You can move to a paid plan at any time from inside the app. Paying adds unlimited live projects, team seats, your own studio branding on client documents without the "Made with Insight" line, help importing your product list, and priority support. Paid plans are covered by our Terms and Conditions and our Refund Policy.
